Rick Thoennes
Rick has been a licensed General Contractor since 1972. He began his
career as owner, contractor and manager of over 5,000 rental apartment
units in Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and North Carolina. Since
then he has built luxury condominium units, custom homes, and retail and
commercial buildings across the southeast, including projects in
Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and North Carolina. He is also
responsible for many restorative building projects in historic downtown
Greenville, SC.
Rick is currently working with his grandson Rick Thoennes, III in developing the luxury gated community of Cobblestone in Greenville, a 150 lot, 3-phase development with homes ranging from $500,000 to $1,500,000 that includes a 1.5 million dollar amenity package, and the luxury town home community Stoneledge on Lake Keowee. Stoneledge is a 50 million dollar, 94 unit gated town home community priced from $400,000 to $750,000.
Other custom home building developments include: Montebello, Cobblestone, Kilgore Plantation, Parkins Mill and various private estates in the Upstate, SC area priced at $350,000 to $2,000,000. Rick is also managing construction of town home projects in Greenville and Travelers Rest, a 5 million dollar clubhouse at The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards, and the show home at the new Cliffs Valley West.
